Description
Students were given the full text of the US Copyright Law to set as a book using InDesign paragraphs and character styles. They had two weeks for the entire project. Efficiency, accuracy, and consistency were important in setting a large amount of text were important to the process.
Pages had to be black and white, typography only.
Covers could be color or black and white, typography only.
Project Goals
- Work with a large body of text
- Create clear typographic hierarchy
- Effectively utilize InDesign Paragraph and Character Styles with nested relationships based a single typeface
- Visually organize complex text content
- Extrapolate value and interest from otherwise mundane content
- Professionally prepare files for distribution and production
