Description

Students were given the full text of the US Copyright Law to set as a book using InDesign paragraphs and character styles. They had two weeks for the entire project. Efficiency, accuracy, and consistency were important in setting a large amount of text were important to the process.

Pages had to be black and white, typography only.

Covers could be color or black and white, typography only.

Project Goals
  • Work with a large body of text
  • Create clear typographic hierarchy
  • Effectively utilize InDesign Paragraph and Character Styles with nested relationships based a single typeface
  • Visually organize complex text content
  • Extrapolate value and interest from otherwise mundane content
  • Professionally prepare files for distribution and production
